At Alator, we understand the pressure housing providers face when it comes to damp, mould, and indoor air quality. We know that behind every case is a real person or family, and it’s our job to help you act quickly, fairly, and with confidence.
Whether you're trying to resolve a damp complaint in line with Awaab’s Law, or looking to prevent issues as part of your wider asset strategy, TrakAer can support both.
Reactive: Quickly investigate tenant concerns with clear, impartial data and environmental consultancy reports.
Proactive: Monitor homes over time to catch early signs of risk and target repairs more effectively.
We come from a background in industrial air quality and environmental compliance — working in some of the most heavily regulated industries in the world. We bring that same care and precision to housing.
Our focus is on identifying the root cause of damp, mould, and poor air quality, and guiding you on how to put it right.
We offer two expert-led reports:
All findings are based on recognised industry standards to ensure transparency and confidence — whether for repairs, compliance, or legal support.
By placing our temperature, humidity and CO2 sensors in properties, we’re able to use a data-driven approach to quickly identify properties most at risk from damp and mould. This is how it works.
Identify properties for monitoring. Alator can use their environmental expertise to assist with the selection process.
Engage with tenants and staff to explain the process and address any questions or concerns. Alator can host lunch & learns, open discussions, training sessions or 1-to-1s.
Install the easy-to-fit sensors and gateways. Alator can advise on optimum placement and assist with installation, if required.
Data from the sensors is analysed by Alator then presented via your intuitive, online dashboard. The careful, simple design helps maintain focus on what is important.
Easy-to-read property risk reports are available with one-click. A Technical Advisor is on-hand to talk you through the data and offer expert advice.
Prioritise and implement effective predictive and proactive maintenance solutions based on data-driven decision-making.
Designed and manufactured in the UK by our partner Data Monitoring Systems (DMS), our discreet, user-friendly sensors monitor temperature, humidity, and CO₂. They are quick to install - typically within minutes - and can be powered by either replaceable batteries or mains electricity.
Data from the sensors is sent to our gateways, which can be mains powered or hardwired. Our gateways have long range communication meaning one gateway can service multiple properties and up to 200 sensors. They’re also not reliant on 2G so will be unaffected when the 2G switch-off takes place. Configurable measurement intervals means you are in control of the system, giving you complete freedom.
The data from the gateway is transferred to Alator for expert analysis before being uploaded to an intuitive, online dashboard. The careful, simple design helps maintain focus on what is important. Property risk reports are available in one, easy click.
