At Alator, we passionately believe everyone deserves to live in a warm, healthy home, free from damp and mould. Sadly, this is not the reality for many, and addressing these issues remains a significant challenge. Change is essential, and at Alator, we’re leading the way with our TrakAer Indoor Air Quality Service.
By adopting a data-driven approach, we’re able to offer housing providers a comprehensive solution to proactively tackle damp and mould. However, unlike other companies, we’re not just another IoT provider; we’re environmental specialists with extensive expertise in damp and mould, using innovative technology to deliver effective solutions for creating healthier, safer living environments.
By strategically placing our temperature, humidity, and CO2 sensors in properties, we capture real-time data that is expertly analysed by our environmental engineers. This enables housing providers to quickly identify at-risk properties, pinpoint underlying issues and prevent future problems. The data can also highlight potential risk factors like void properties and fuel poverty.
Our service is designed to be the most effective, hassle-free service on the market, covering everything from installation to root-cause analysis and air purification treatments. With expert environmental reviews and a focus on tenant engagement and inclusion, it not only meets legal requirements and compliance standards but also ensures the best outcomes.
By placing our temperature, humidity and CO2 sensors in properties, we’re able to use a data-driven approach to quickly identify properties most at risk from damp and mould. This is how it works.

Designed and made in the UK by our partner Data Monitoring Systems (DMS), our discrete, easy-to-use sensors take minutes to install and can be powered by replaceable batteries or mains power.
Data from the sensors is sent to our gateways, which can be mains powered or hardwired. Our gateways have long range communication meaning one gateway can service multiple properties and up to 200 sensors. They’re also not reliant on 2G so will be unaffected when the 2G switch-off takes place. Configurable measurement intervals means you are in control of the system, giving you complete freedom.
The data from the gateway is transferred to Alator for expert analysis before being uploaded to an intuitive, online dashboard. The careful, simple design helps maintain focus on what is important. Property risk reports are available in one, easy click.
